LOVE DON'T LET ME DOWN PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION
GENERAL COLOR PALETTE
Everyone should bring at least three options for each change that you are asked to bring.
The palette for the BG is a neutral palette with accents of faded blue, faded red and cream or white. No very bright red or other really bright colors. The colors do not have to be faded colors, we would just prefer colors that are not very bright or very saturated.
Khaki, olive green, rust, burnt red, chambray and denim blue, navy, light grey and charcoal, cream, soft yellow, pale pinks.
Texture is good! Small plaids, stripes and other basic graphics.
Stay away from recognizable logos and graphic tees that have recognizable images on them. These become a clearance issue.
Everyone should bring or wear long/thermal underwear. It will be cold and the costume dept cannot provide these items for everyone. Also, make sure to bring a coat for warmth. If you bring one that works in the color palette, you are more likely to be able to wear it on camera. Acceptable "camera coats" include denim jackets, lined and unlined, Carhartt type coats, down jackets in the color palette, longer trench type coats.
REHAB PATIENTS
Upscale lounge wear, comfy pull up pants, fleece and flannel robes, sweaters, 2 pc velour suits for women and yoga pants. These are examples of this look. It should be comfortable but not sloppy. Slippers, sneakers, Keds and Vans.
REHAB DOCTORS
Button front dress shirts and slacks for the men. The men should also bring basic neckties. Button front and pullover blouses, slacks and skirts for the women. The colors should be soft and professional. Appropriate shoes for all options brought.
GROUNDSKEEPERS
Should bring dark tennis shoes, dark work shoes or work boots. Also a brown or black casual belt. The rest of the uniform will be provided.
NURSES/ORDERLIES
These folks will be provided with scrubs. They should bring light colored sneakers or medical clog-type shoes. Also, bring options for layering. Long sleeve tees to wear under the scrub tops for the men, and for the ladies, long sleeve tees as well as cardigans to wear over. The colors of these items should be neutral (see guidelines above), the scrub color is light blue.
Anyone who is asked to be an ORDERLY should bring the things listed just above, but should also read and bring the things from the following category REHAB COUNSELORS. It is still undecided as to whether the ORDERLIES will be in uniform or street clothes. ORDERLIES should bring both.
REHAB COUNSELORS
The counselors should be dressed nicely, but somewhat casually. Example for men: sports coat or sweater with button front shirt and khakis, or button front shirt with tie and khakis or casual pants. Example for Women: Slacks or skirt with a button front shirt or a tee with a cardigan or sweater set. Some casual dress options for the ladies would be nice. Appropriate shoes for all the options brought.
VISITORS
Basic nice Saturday clothes. This could mean jeans and shirt with a light jacket, pullover sweaters with a corduroy coat, etc. Casual but nice. Going to a movie or going to the mall. Please bring more than just jeans as an options for the bottoms. Appropriate shoes.
